To every place I visited, every lane I passed by, to
every new person I came across there was an intrguing factor so fresh and fascinating. The magic was in its air, the way the fragrance of the soil left an
impact on my sensory organs was bliss. I appreciate all of these & bitter
sweet experiences I lived but I’ve wondered if anyone else too associated a
specific song to a place? Yes no yes? I’ve this habit of tagging a place with a
song right from my teenage years when I was exposed to good music. The lyrics
of the song becomes your daily schedule, you live the words. You drink the
sorrow, dance naked underneath the sky, taste the happiness and bleed love
which seems so unrealistic otherwise. The magic wand Mr Music sways on me makes
my body and soul scream to the universe so as they know what their city means
to me. All this while I’ve had tagged different songs of various genres to
different places and now when I look back I have a hearty silent laughter questioning
my music taste. But how does it matter right? It was perfect and appropriate
then and I respect the crappy side of me too. In my most recent trip to Goa
with my squad, Macklemore’s can’t hold us has successfully held me into it. I
related to every word, the pause that song offered me. Singing your lungs out
on the ‘tune of the trip’ at a karaoke bar is a double win-win. He said fight
till it is over and dance like ceiling can’t hold you. OH you lovely
Macklemore, you speak my mind. More than beaches and beer, this Goa was all
about competition, passion to prove who are, disappointments and recovery
speaking sessions. How did I miss out on parties? Who knew a party place can
teach you to be strong and patient towards what life throws at you. Like I
mentioned already ‘Can’t hold us’ is my tune of the trip and I will keep
publishing my experiences and the songs that made my journey a jouurrrrneeyyyy
to relish. Note this song best goes with coffee.
